Vision screening and pink eye treatment.
Specialty ServicesVision is critical to your child's learning and development. We perform age-appropriate vision screenings at every well-child visit to catch issues early, when they're most treatable.
Conjunctivitis (pink eye) — bacterial, viral, and allergic types, blocked tear ducts in newborns, styes and chalazia, allergic eye reactions, and minor eye injuries. We determine the cause and prescribe appropriate treatment, whether that's antibiotic drops, warm compresses, or allergy management.
We begin instrument-based vision screening as early as 12 months and transition to visual acuity charts (Lea symbols or HOTV) at age 4. These screenings detect amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), and refractive errors that could impact learning.
For concerns requiring specialized care — including suspected amblyopia, persistent strabismus, or complex eye conditions — we coordinate referrals with trusted pediatric ophthalmologists in our Southern California network.
Same-day and same-week appointments available at all 9 locations.
