Detailed developmental and behavioral history, standardized rating scales completed by parents AND teachers (Vanderbilt Assessment), observation of the child in clinic, screening for coexisting conditions (anxiety, learning disabilities), and review of academic performance and social functioning.
We develop personalized plans that may include behavioral therapy and parent training, school accommodations (504 Plan or IEP), organizational strategies and executive function coaching, medication management when appropriate (stimulants and non-stimulants), and regular follow-up to monitor progress and adjust treatment.
ADHD management is a long-term partnership. We schedule regular follow-up visits to assess medication effectiveness, monitor growth, review academic progress, and adjust the treatment plan as your child grows and their needs evolve.
